Of Ais is more than a brand. Of Ais stands for being yourself and being able to show it. You are unique, and you should be able to radiate that.

At Of Ais, you shop the most beautiful silver jewelry with gemstones. From rings to earrings, bracelets to necklaces: everything passes by. The jewelry is all handmade from 925 sterling silver. This makes every piece of jewelry unique! The products are made with a lot of love and attention: sometimes by me, sometimes by the foreign charities I collaborate with.

I consciously choose fair, sustainable materials. Good for the world, and good for you. The jewelry lasts a lifetime (and even longer) due to the materials. Does something break? Then the jewelry can always be repaired, or the materials can be melted down and reused to give them new life. The gemstones also come from ethical sources, so you can wear these eye-catchers with a good feeling.

Of Ais is my creative outlet that keeps growing and has become a true jewellery brand. 4 days a week I work as an online editor for several children's magazines, and on the remaining days (and evenings) I work on Of Ais. As a small business owner, it's a lot of hard work, but for over ten years, my whole heart has been in this brand. I hope you love it as much as I do!

How did Of Ais come about?

The Of Ais brand started with drawings in 2013. I love drawing and painting, but I always found it a shame that artworks end up in drawers, folders, and cabinets, gathering dust. So, one day I decided to paint my own bag, a cool and handy canvas bag. I took that bag to school, and soon I started getting requests for custom bags. In no time, a lot of girls at my school were walking around with my bags. Cool!

Even cooler: a shop in Breda asked if I wanted to sell my bags there. And then it became official: I had to register with the Chamber of Commerce and Of Ais was now truly a business. A brand where I can express my creativity.

Little by little, jewellery also became part of it: I had always enjoyed making it, but now also for my brand. This jewellery making led to beautiful collaborations with blacksmiths around the world. The blacksmiths there make the jewellery, and by paying a fair wage, they have a better chance to support themselves and their families and build a future. I still consider that the most important thing: fair prices. Both for you and for the makers!

And then came covid. A difficult time for everyone, and due to circumstances, I suddenly found myself without a job and a home. But what a lot of good things it brought me: I finally decided to learn silversmithing and could suddenly dedicate all my time to Of Ais! And so, my brand continues to develop. Everything in my shop is handmade, and a large part I forge myself. This makes all my jewellery completely unique. And only with unique jewellery can you truly express your own self!
